Field Service Tech - HFFS & Tray Sealing Equipment

Location: US, North Carolina; remote role with up to 25% primarily domestic travel

hirify.global, through its Ossid division, manufactures high-speed tray packaging, weigh/price labeling, and form-fill-seal packaging equipment for food, medical device, and consumer goods markets.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, assemble, install, and integrate HFFS and tray sealing machinery.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing, final assembly, quality testing, and shipment preparation.
• Lead or supervise customer personnel during installation, integration, and service activities.
• Diagnose equipment discrepancies and ensure machinery meets inspection, testing, quality, and operational standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Engineering to resolve customer inquiries and installation or service issues.
• Prepare detailed trip reports covering equipment status, completed service, parts needs, and upgrade opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in technical support, machinery assembly, or servicing electro-mechanical systems.
• Mechanical and electrical proficiency with hands-on assembly and automation experience.
• Strong troubleshooting, independent decision-making, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to use measuring instruments and interpret engineering drawings, wiring schematics, specifications, manuals, and technical instructions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and travel up to 25%, primarily domestically.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
