Field Service Technician (HVAC)

Location: Remote within the United States; the position can be based at any US location. Travel to various job sites is required approximately 85% of the time.

What you will do

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for new data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematics, and related materials to plan installation and repair work.
• Manage challenging service jobs while minimizing disruption to customer facilities and company costs.
• Coordinate with building owners, contractors, engineers, local service providers, and outside technicians.
• Consult engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
• Provide professional customer service and advise management on product performance and potential improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to perform root cause analysis.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate with outside technicians, and follow up on parts delivery.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical school education or certification.
• Experience with industrial HVAC equipment or similar electromechanical products.
• Intermediate experience with commercial projects.
• Building automation experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
