Field Service Technician II (US Remote)

Location: US remote; position can be based at any US location. Travel to various job sites is required approximately 85% of the time.

What you will do

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment used in data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, tools, equipment, and parts required for installation and repair.
• Manage challenging service and warranty jobs while minimizing customer disruption and company costs.
• Coordinate with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service contractors.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing personnel to resolve unusual system operation and maintenance issues.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate product performance or improvement suggestions to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 85% of the time for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis, work independently, and coordinate completion with outside technicians and parts suppliers.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical school education or certification.
• Experience with industrial HVAC or similar electromechanical products.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Experience with commercial projects and building automation.
