Field Service Engineer (Medical Device) (North Carolina/South Carolina Field Role)

Location: United States; residency in or near North Carolina or South Carolina within commuting distance of an airport is required. Field support role with travel of up to 75%.

Salary: $37.35–$63.45 per hour

What you will do

• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain instrument systems across the assigned territory.
• Respond to service requests, troubleshoot product and service issues, and own customer follow-up through resolution.
• Provide onsite technical guidance and training on equipment operation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate system placements, upgrades, contract renewals, and technical assistance between customers, field operations, and internal support teams.
• Manage service parts inventory and complete same-day service documentation in SFDC.
• Support quality data collection and maintain service, training, and SOP documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, with knowledge of the biotechnology or biomedical industry; applicable military experience may also qualify.
• 2–5 years of relevant technical field service experience.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Strong problem-solving ability and high motivation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good technical writing abilities.
