Industrial Hygiene Technician (Environmental)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; field and office work supporting local projects.

Salary: USD $25.18–$30.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate and execute regulated materials surveys for asbestos, lead, PCBs, universal waste, and related hazards.
• Prepare regulated materials survey reports.
• Provide abatement oversight and air monitoring.
• Conduct indoor air quality, mechanical hygiene, and ventilation assessments.
• Perform moisture and microbial assessments.
• Provide field and office support to local building science project managers.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of building sciences or industrial hygiene experience; commercial and industrial experience is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree in science, industrial hygiene, public health, or environmental science is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read project specifications and drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical examination, and motor vehicle records check.

Nice to have

• DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician certification is required; Certified Asbestos Consultant certification is preferred.
• CDPH lead-related construction sampling, inspection, assessment, or project monitoring certifications.
• ACAC microbial consultant, microbial investigator, or certified indoor environmentalist certification.
