Environmental Scientist - Emissions Testing

Location: Lowell, Massachusetts, with up to 70% travel throughout the United States and overseas

Salary: USD $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Set up equipment and collect air emissions samples at industrial facilities, including tall stacks, manufacturing plants, and power-generation sites.
• Monitor emissions-control devices for proper operation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Record test data and prepare reports, summaries, charts, proposals, test protocols, and compliance documentation.
• Conduct sampling in adverse weather conditions and at heights while following safety and quality procedures.
• Travel up to 70% to domestic and international locations, including weekends, holidays, and extended stays.
• Complete required training and work under the direction of Project Managers and Field Team Leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a science or engineering degree is preferred.
• Valid, unencumbered US driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Successful drug screening, background check, physical examination, and motor vehicle records check required.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely climb and traverse ladders and stairs daily.
• Functional written and oral communication, moderate computer skills, and intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe.
