VP-Technology Architecture

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. In-office collaboration is required at least four days per week, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Base salary: $171,700–$236,100 per year, with potential variable compensation through bonuses, commissions, and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own the architecture vision and multi-year roadmap for HR, Finance, and employee technology platforms.
• Define target-state architecture across Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, and related cloud platforms.
• Identify applied AI use cases, establish architectural guardrails, and drive AI-enabled process and productivity improvements.
• Govern enterprise architecture standards, integration strategies, security, scalability, and reusability.
• Build and develop an architecture organization through hiring, mentoring, career planning, and engagement.
• Partner with business and technology leaders on strategy, budgets, prioritization, and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, including 6–8+ years of people leadership and 5+ years of architecture strategy planning and execution.
• Strong technical understanding of AWS and Microsoft/Azure cloud platforms.
• Expert-level ServiceNow knowledge, including employee service delivery, ITSM, and HRSD.
• Experience with Workday and enterprise employee technology ecosystems, including platform integration.
• Valid United States work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.
• Experience leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of architecture governance, integration/API strategy, and enterprise data architecture.
• Executive-level communication, influence, innovation, and change leadership experience.
