SVP AI Enterprise Architect (AI)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $137,400–$240,400 USD annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and equity component.

What you will do

• Shape enterprise strategy and architecture for generative AI and machine learning.
• Guide controlled AI adoption, intelligent automation, process optimization, and enterprise AI initiatives.
• Advise application development teams on improving developer experience, delivery velocity, and solution quality with AI.
• Translate business objectives into secure, governed, and actionable technical architectures.
• Drive AI governance through Architecture Review Boards and appropriate risk controls.
• Monitor emerging AI technologies, industry practices, and enterprise-grade implementation approaches.

Requirements

• Deep experience with generative AI, machine learning, and enterprise AI/ML systems in regulated industries.
• Strong enterprise architecture experience, including business alignment, AI governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliant risk controls.
• Experience scaling AI adoption across cross-functional teams and defining measurable AI ROI.
• Advanced degree in AI, data science, computer science, or a related field, plus relevant professional certifications.
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python or another object-oriented language, with experience building proofs of concept and demonstrations.
• Experience with model training or fine-tuning and an advanced Azure cloud certification.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI architecture frameworks, MLOps, and CI/CD for agentic applications.
• Mastery of Azure AI Foundry and working knowledge of AWS generative AI tools.
• Experience with RAG applications, advanced prompt engineering, vector databases, LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Databricks SDKs.
