Structures Superintendent (Heavy Civil Construction)

Location: Hyrum, Utah, United States; subsequent projects will be nationally based. Travel to project locations and regional offices is expected.

What you will do

• Direct daily structural field operations for self-perform crews and structural subcontractors.
• Coordinate foundations, excavation support, formwork, reinforcing steel, cast-in-place concrete, structural steel, precast, and bridge construction with other trades.
• Oversee concrete placement, material deliveries, staging, crane and rigging plans, and equipment logistics.
• Develop short-interval schedules, track productivity, identify constraints, and communicate solutions to the project team.
• Coordinate with project management, engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors to resolve field conflicts and RFIs.
• Document daily activities and supervise, mentor, and develop field crews, foremen, and apprentices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; construction management or civil engineering education or trade certification is preferred.
• At least seven years of structural or concrete construction experience, including three or more years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Experience with cast-in-place concrete, formwork systems, reinforcing steel, structural steel erection, and/or bridge or heavy civil structures.
• Knowledge of structural systems, concrete and steel construction methods, formwork engineering, and ACI and AISC codes.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, Procore or Bluebeam, OSHA standards, and construction safety practices; OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
