Assistant Superintendent (Construction)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, United States; full-time onsite work is required, with most duties performed at the construction site. Local travel is expected, with occasional long-distance and overnight travel depending on the project.

What you will do

• Produce look-ahead schedules and support development and updates to project master schedules.
• Supervise field forces across carpentry, concrete, general labor, and other trade divisions.
• Lead jobsite safety activities, complete safety audits, and maintain required safety materials.
• Prepare daily reports, oversee installations against contract documents and shop drawings, and support the Quality Assurance Program.
• Participate in subcontractor and Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings to track schedules and work changes.
• Manage conflicts and disputes, maintain project information systems, and support small-project delivery or larger-project closeout.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in construction or a related field.
• Basic computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Procore, BIM, and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to learn site requirements, tools, methods, and materials across the full range of trade divisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and dispute-resolution skills.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related coursework.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
