DevOps Engineer 3 (AWS)

Location: On-site in Annapolis Junction, Maryland; little to no work from home and significant or full-time work in a SCIF.

Salary: $55.23–$128.52 per hour, plus eligibility for a $5,000 bonus including a 20% SEP IRA contribution.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply, and maintain complex software systems.
• Provide a reliable, highly available platform for orchestrating microservices in a modernized operational system.
• Develop infrastructure as code, scripts, automation tools, managed services, and technical documentation.
• Install, configure, harden, patch, and performance-tune RHEL, Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native logging and metrics tools.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud infrastructure using GitLab runners, Argo CD, and Terraform.
• Present briefings and demonstrations and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and an appropriate active security clearance are required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph, including a CI polygraph within the last 7 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.
• At least 9 years of professional experience, or 7 years with a related master’s degree.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, scripting, Linux/RHEL administration, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Effective communication and collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.
