Systems Engineer 3 - DevOps (AWS)

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain DevOps resources for multiple product teams.
• Automate build and deployment processes through infrastructure as code, scripting, and CI/CD.
• Design and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, EKS, RDS, S3, EFS, and EBS.
• Install, configure, and tune Kubernetes environments and cloud-native logging and metrics tools.
• Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to improve application performance, reliability, and uptime.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support continuous system availability.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Twenty years of systems engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science, information systems, engineering science, engineering management, or a related discipline; five additional years of systems engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and scripting, including Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab CI/CD, GitLab runners, Argo CD, and observability tools such as Elasticsearch, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS auto scaling and Kubernetes EKS.
• Familiarity with FOSS tools deployed through Helm charts, including PGAdmin.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes storage classes such as GP3, Longhorn, and EBS.
