Boiler Operator

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; onsite

Starting pay: $45.57 per hour, with potential to reach $46.72 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate high-pressure boilers and related auxiliary equipment, including switching fuel sources during curtailments.
• Operate electric and steam turbine chillers and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on boilers, steam condensers, heat exchangers, cooling towers, pumps, and fans.
• Maintain utility plant logbooks and operating records.
• Follow corporate policies, security standards, and environmental health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• High school diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution.
• State of Minnesota 1st Class A Engineer license or higher.
• At least three years of experience operating high-pressure boilers.
• Ability to work weekends, rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and short-notice shift changes.
• Must remain current on boiler operating codes and Minnesota engineer licensing requirements.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in building maintenance or equipment operation.
• State of Minnesota Chief A Engineer license.
• At least five years of high-pressure boiler operating experience.
• Experience with chiller plant operations.
