Stationary Engineer 2nd Class (HVAC)

Location: New Bedford, Massachusetts, United States of America; onsite, full time

What you will do

• Serve as the engineer in charge of daily high-pressure boiler plant operations.
• Operate associated equipment safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Implement procedures meeting safety standards, regulatory requirements, and Massachusetts laws.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate maintenance, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and maintain operational records and logbooks.
• Communicate with facility leadership to support continuous improvement and plant safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in boiler and steam plant operations.
• Required: 2nd Class Engineer License.
• Ability to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance in day-to-day plant activities.

• Facilities management knowledge.
