Field Service Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States; frequent travel to customer sites, including outside the continental U.S.

What you will do

• Perform maintenance, repairs, installations, and troubleshooting for complex aerospace and defense systems.
• Manage field service projects and maintain detailed records of field activities and equipment status.
• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level technicians.
• Develop and deliver technical training for customers and internal teams.
• Manage spare-parts and tool inventory and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
• Travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes internationally and on short notice.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a relevant higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 3 years of technician or related experience.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications.
• Experience with troubleshooting techniques and a thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
• Current, active Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Ability to travel frequently outside the continental U.S. for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in a related field.
• FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL) and experience with spectrometers, oscilloscopes, or pitot-static equipment.
• Security+, Network+, CCNA, or A+ certification.
• Aerospace, defense, Department of Defense, or U.S. military experience.
• Experience leading technical teams or projects and strong presentation skills.
