Field Service Technician II - BNA (Security Screening Equipment)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA; daily travel to customer sites in and around the Nashville metro area, including the airport

Salary: $74,360–$100,540 per year, plus a Business Profit Plan and benefits

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, deploy, service, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and cargo inspection equipment at customer sites.
• Respond to scheduled, emergency, and non-scheduled service calls while meeting established response-time goals.
• Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, service logs, formal reports, and related administrative documentation.
• Manage repair parts, tools, inventory, calibration, and equipment return cycles.
• Provide customer training, technical support, follow-up communication, and service that drives customer satisfaction.
• Assess equipment performance, recommend improvements, support service sales opportunities, and collaborate with senior field service technicians and product managers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, related electrical/electronic/mechanical trade certification, military training, or more than three years of equivalent related field service experience.
• At least five years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field.
• Strong technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies, computer literacy, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent communication, organization, customer service, teamwork, and multitasking skills; willingness to travel at short notice and work overtime or outside Monday–Friday hours.
• Must successfully complete TSA vetting and a federal background investigation; Sensitive Security Information access and a U.S. Personal Security Clearance may be required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs, operate material-handling devices, maintain full-body mobility, and work safely around dangerous industrial equipment.
