TL;DR
Field Service Technician I (Security Screening Equipment): Installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and cargo inspection equipment at customer sites with an accent on field maintenance, customer support, and equipment documentation. Focus on responding to emergency service calls, managing parts and tools, maintaining technical certifications, and safely handling heavy industrial equipment.

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA. Daily travel is required to customer sites in and around the Denver Metro area, including Denver International Airport. Service may also take place at airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships, and other customer locations.

Salary: $67,760–$91,630 per year, plus a competitive Business Profit Plan and benefits.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot, install, service, maintain, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and cargo inspection equipment at customer sites.
  • Respond to scheduled, emergency, and non-scheduled service calls while meeting established response times.
  • Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, service logs, customer reports, and administrative documentation.
  • Manage repair parts, inventory, tools, test equipment, calibration, and equipment-related costs.
  • Provide customer training and technical support, conduct follow-up calls, and promote customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior field service technicians and Product Managers while supporting site surveys, pilot programs, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree, related trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical disciplines; 1–3 years of related work or life experience may be accepted.
  • 1–3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems or equipment in a field service role.
  • Computer literacy, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn specialized software.
  • Strong communication, customer service, organizational, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel at short notice, work overtime or outside Monday–Friday hours, and respond to customer issues.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lb, push or pull up to 200 lb, and move equipment weighing up to 1,000 lb with assistance. Successful TSA vetting and a federal background investigation are required for Sensitive Security Information access.
