Field Service Engineer III (C3) (Semiconductor Equipment)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade customer semiconductor equipment.
• Apply diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and resolve technical issues with support from senior engineers.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand process flows, requirements, roadmaps, and business challenges.
• Train and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Coordinate directly with customers to support equipment performance and service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification; an associate’s degree is the minimum required education.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum systems, and/or thermodynamics.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools and digital multimeters, plus basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport if travel is required.
• Ability to meet onsite safety, environmental, clean-room, and physical requirements, including PPE use, working at heights, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
