Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance (Facilities Maintenance)

Location: West Branch, Michigan, United States; onsite work at a local Walmart retail facility.

Hourly wage: $26.00–$51.00 per hour, with possible additional premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, fixtures, and other store assets using multiple trade skills.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment repairs using hand and power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair orders and document completed work.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and diagnose issues through inspection, operation, and testing.
• Complete required safety training for operating equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License is required.
• Vocational or technical certification plus 3 years of experience, or 5 years of experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently use ladders, work at heights, and work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical trade program.
• License in a related trade in the city or state where the role is located.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
