Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration (HVAC-Refrigeration)

Location: Onsite at 2615 NE Bob Bullock Loop, Laredo, Texas, United States

Hourly wage: $29.00–$58.00, plus possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Install, configure, calibrate, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related faults and implement effective repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, walk-ins, and HVAC systems to reduce downtime.
• Inspect equipment and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations, building codes, OSHA standards, and safety requirements.
• Lead and mentor field technicians while promoting safe technical procedures.
• Manage service calls, documentation, inventory, external providers, and company vehicles.

Requirements

• HVAC/R certification plus 2 years of relevant mechanical maintenance or construction experience, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R or mechanical journeyman qualification where required.
• Ability to read technical layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and building codes.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle report, and compliance with commercial driving safety requirements.
• Experience leading teams, coordinating service work, and communicating with customers and service providers.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• Experience with office productivity software, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
