Floxal Reliability Technician

Location: Independence, Ohio, with candidates also able to reside in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York areas. The position is remote but requires 60–80% frequent travel, overnight travel, and reliable transportation.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and service onsite nitrogen generation plants and Floxal systems at customer sites.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical systems connected to nitrogen-generation and cryogenic installations, including motor controls, relays, and alarm systems.
• Perform mechanical and piping installations according to company procedures.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on nitrogen-generation equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local codes.
• Communicate with customers and colleagues while working independently in field environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and trade school certification.
• At least two years of industrial field service experience.
• Fundamental mechanical skills and the ability to perform electrical repairs.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, P&ID diagrams, layout drawings, design specifications, manufacturer drawings, and architectural drawings.
• Ability to understand safety guidelines, material safety data sheets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift and move 25–75 pounds, work around mechanical and electrical hazards, and remain available for occasional overtime.

Nice to have

• Experience with bulk cryogenic or gas-generation systems.
• HVAC or refrigeration certification, electrical experience, or ASSE Medical Gas credentials.
• Welding and brazing experience, especially silver brazing.
• Repair and maintenance experience.
