Construction Technician (Cryogenic Systems)

Location: Residence-based in North Carolina or Northern South Carolina, with 75% travel throughout the southern United States

What you will do

• Install product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites, including cryogenic tanks, pumps, and piping systems.
• Start up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cryogenic and gaseous equipment.
• Coordinate equipment selection, transportation, installation activities, and system operational readiness.
• Supervise contractors and maintenance technicians, including crane contractors and lift operations up to 600 standard tons.
• Perform brazing, piping installation, pressure testing, cost reporting, and technical and commercial documentation.
• Provide customer training, ongoing maintenance support, and direct customer interface.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a service or pickup truck road test and DOT physical, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel 75% throughout the southern United States.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment, and read engineering drawings, flow sheets, piping drawings, equipment layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and climb stairs and ladders.
• Strong organizational, communication, customer interface, safety, and basic project management skills.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical degree or related apprenticeship.
• Military service in lieu of a trade or technical degree.
• Class A CDL license.
• Experience supervising crane contractors and serving as a lift supervisor.
