Construction Technician III

Location: Residence-based in Texas, United States, preferably the Dallas area; requires 50–75% travel throughout the southern United States.

What you will do

• Install cryogenic tanks, pumps, piping, and product storage, processing, and delivery equipment at customer sites.
• Start up, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cryogenic and gaseous systems serving oxygen, nitrogen, argon, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide.
• Coordinate equipment selection, transportation, contractors, maintenance technicians, and customer training.
• Supervise crane contractors and act as lift supervisor for equipment lifts using cranes with capacities up to 600 standard tons.
• Perform brazing, piping installation, pressure testing, maintenance support, cost reporting, and technical documentation.
• Interface directly with customers while maintaining high safety standards at sites and while driving company vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass a service or pickup truck road test and DOT physical; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Flexibility to travel up to 75% throughout the southern United States.
• Proficiency with hand and hand power tools, plus the ability to repair and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, flow sheets, equipment layouts, piping drawings, and electrical control schematics.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders.

Nice to have

• Trade or technical degree, related apprenticeship, or relevant military service.
• Class A CDL license.
• Experience with safe rigging, lifting procedures, crane contractor supervision, and lift supervision.
