Senior Director, Medical Economics (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: Remote-MO; U.S. work authorization required

Salary: $148,000–$274,200 per year

What you will do

• Lead enterprise-wide healthcare analytics projects and strategic initiatives.
• Translate business goals and complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations and operational strategies.
• Oversee forecasting, savings validation, KPI development, performance measurement, and executive reporting.
• Partner with clinical, operational, business, technical, and analytic leaders across multiple health plans.
• Manage executive customer expectations, relationships, escalations, and accountability for analytic service delivery.
• Mentor and develop a team of leaders and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, public health, health informatics, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of healthcare analytics experience, including organizational leadership, strategic planning, and operationalizing functional teams.
• Experience with strategic planning, healthcare cost optimization, value realization, financial modeling, forecasting, and performance measurement.
• Working knowledge of SQL, table creation and indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques, including data modeling, trend analysis, root-cause analysis, forecasting, and savings validation.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python or R and the ability to interpret complex analytical outputs.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and modern business intelligence and visualization tools.
• Experience leading change management and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
