Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; requires travel throughout the United States approximately 75% of the time, including long-term onsite projects with scheduled rotations home every six weeks.

What you will do

  • Conduct weekly job-site visits, audits, and inspections.
  • Investigate loss incidents and support emergency response activities.
  • Perform environmental assessments and evaluations of facilities and job locations.
  • Assist operations with implementing and maintaining HSE programs and compliance.
  • Identify and correct construction-specific jobsite hazards.
  • Facilitate safety trainings and meetings in a union environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction training, or the ability to obtain it within the approved timeframe.
  • Valid driver's license for the vehicle type driven and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain strong attention to detail, speak publicly, and use technology for HSE responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States approximately 75% of the time and commit to long-term onsite projects with scheduled rotations home every six weeks.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience.
  • OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 certifications.
  • BCSP certification such as CHST, ASP, or SCP.
  • Experience with United States Army Corps of Engineers projects.
  • Accredited degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction.
