What you will do

• Design, implement, and direct environmental, health, and safety programs, guidelines, and procedures.
• Oversee project-site HSE plans and align them with corporate requirements, strategies, and initiatives.
• Provide leadership and set an example for safe, environmentally responsible work practices.
• Collaborate with senior management, peers, subordinates, clients, contractors, and operational crews.
• Drive innovation, process change, structure, and customer service improvements across the organization.
• Travel with minimal lead time to respond to HSE needs and support a positive safety culture in a union environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HSE experience in the utility construction industry, compliance and regulation, or an equivalent combination of safety and construction experience.
• Safety credentials such as CHST, CUSP, CSP, COSS, or OSHA 500.
• Ability to attract, develop, manage, and retain talent.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, and public speaking skills.
• Valid driver license for the vehicles operated and an acceptable driving record.
• Comfort with travel and using technology to perform HSE responsibilities.
