Intermediate Flight Test Engineer (Missile Defense)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, Redstone Arsenal, Von Braun Complex. On-site support at deployed test locations is required, with travel of up to 20% and multi-week deployments possible.

What you will do

• Coordinate and manage on-console and classroom training schedules for MDA personnel and partner organizations.
• Develop standardized plans, processes, checklists, and documentation for flight-test execution and post-test activities.
• Track Mission Execution Team certification and readiness, providing leadership with reports and assessment tools.
• Provide on-site coordination support to Test Directors and Chief Evaluators at deployed locations.
• Develop evaluation strategies and analyze feedback and performance data to improve training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field.
• At least 7 years of recent relevant experience.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of Missile Defense System components and system-level topics.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements, deadlines, schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and deploy to test sites for multi-week periods.

Nice to have

• In-depth knowledge of Missile Defense System capabilities and MDA test planning, processes, and execution.
• Experience developing standardized plans, processes, and checklists.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and experience working in dynamic team environments.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
