Telemetry Engineer (Missile Defense)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite support with up to 15% travel

What you will do

• Support the Missile Defense Agency Targets and Countermeasures program in developing ballistic missile target vehicles.
• Contribute to target design, engineering analysis, requirements development, modeling and simulation, and test reporting.
• Configure and operate telemetry data acquisition equipment during test events.
• Perform telemetry data decommutation, reduction, conversion, and related processing.
• Generate vehicle visualizations, situational awareness displays, reports, and briefings.
• Support mission planning and analysis while collaborating with multidisciplinary technical experts to develop engineering tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languages.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency or Department of Defense programs, processes, and test events.
• Experience with telemetry systems and data processing.
• Experience in design, CAD, trajectory analysis, radar cross-section signatures, or optical signatures.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
