TL;DR

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; field operations and travel of up to 75% may be required, with project-specific assignments potentially requiring more.

Salary: USD 91,000–107,900 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of land and right-of-way projects for long-term electric transmission programs.
  • Oversee regulatory planning, routing, survey permissions, title, acquisition, eminent domain, construction, reclamation, and project closeout.
  • Develop project plans, estimates, budgets, schedules, procedures, proposals, and client deliverables.
  • Lead, train, mentor, and manage project teams and direct reports.
  • Develop execution and mitigation strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and report on profitability and backlog.
  • Represent land services in client meetings, industry committees, regulatory forums, and technical discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business, management, a related field, or applicable equivalent experience.
  • 7–10 years of related experience, including at least 3–5 years in senior management.
  • Experience with linear projects such as pipelines or electric transmission lines.
  • Experience preparing and responding to proposals, including project and land acquisition budgets.
  • Strong leadership, project management, negotiation, communication, conflict management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Intermediate or better proficiency with Microsoft Office and land management database applications; willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel extensively.

Nice to have

  • Energy, oil and gas, power, utility, wind, or solar industry experience.
  • PMP certification or enrollment in a PMP certification course.
  • Recent experience as a Right of Way Land Manager in land project management.
