What you will do

• Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Regulatory) to align software priorities with business objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor software engineering talent, emphasizing technical depth and sound engineering judgment.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and local LLMs to increase productivity and security.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality, secure software in compliance with medical device standards.
• Resolve customer and field issues in collaboration with product support and sustaining engineering.
• Drive process maturity and quality metrics to ensure system performance, safety, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience OR advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Proven experience leading and managing software engineering processes, projects, and tactics.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire.

Nice to have

• Deep expertise in software test methodologies and quality standards (e.g., IEC 62304).
• Experience with APIs, SDKs, and AI tools that improve development speed and precision.
• Experience developing software within a regulated environment.
• Background in infrastructure, DevOps, and site reliability engineering.
