Project Safety Manager (Construction)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; onsite construction-site work required

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
• Conduct site inspections and audits for regulatory and company-standard compliance.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents and prepare corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety throughout construction.
• Maintain safety documentation and serve as the primary contact for project safety matters.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor construction environment and perform physical site duties.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30 certification highly desirable.
