Director, Robotics Implementation Program Lead (Robotics)

Location: Norwood, Massachusetts, United States; 70% in-office under hirify.global’s 70/30 work model

Salary: $183,800–$330,300 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the robotics strategy and roadmap across the CMC manufacturing network.
• Identify and prioritize robotics opportunities, including AMRs, machine-tending robots, and humanoids.
• Build business cases, investment estimates, resource plans, timelines, and technical feasibility assessments.
• Lead a portfolio of robotics programs from concept through deployment and operationalization.
• Establish governance, milestones, risk management, and performance metrics while removing execution barriers.
• Align business, engineering, digital, manufacturing, MSAT, automation, quality, and site leadership stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information as a U.S. person; non-U.S. persons are not eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, automation, robotics, digital manufacturing, technical operations, or program leadership in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with cGMP Drug Substance or Drug Product manufacturing and complex cross-functional program implementation.
• Knowledge of robotics, automation, manufacturing systems, equipment implementation, digital integration, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0, ISA-95, and ISA-88.
• Familiarity with control systems, SCADA, fleet management, data systems, system integration, GAMP, CSV, and regulatory compliance; willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience implementing robotics in GMP, cleanroom, aseptic, laboratory, warehouse, packaging, inspection, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing portfolios of automation, digital, manufacturing, or engineering initiatives.
• Experience driving adoption of new technologies in operational environments.
