Director, Technical Program Management (GenAI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; home office

Annual salary: $169,000–$338,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale technical programs by defining goals, critical paths, deliverables, and cross-team dependencies.
• Drive end-to-end system solution design aligned with business objectives and technical architecture standards.
• Identify and resolve program risks, dependencies, and resource constraints to maintain delivery timelines and quality.
• Establish scalable workflows, automation, and processes that improve engineering efficiency and velocity.
• Align stakeholders, communicate program status using data-driven insights, and secure decision-making support.
• Mentor team members in program management, technical design, and problem-solving methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related area plus 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Extensive experience managing and delivering large-scale technical programs, including planning and risk mitigation.
• Strong expertise in technical design, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing cross-functional dependencies, stakeholder alignment, process improvement, automation, and scalable workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical problem-solving, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Project management certification.
• Master’s degree in business administration with a relevant specialization.
• Experience in product design, supervision, digital accessibility, WCAG 2.2 AA, and assistive technologies.
