Senior Director, Intelligent Equipment (Sensing, Analytics, and Digital Innovation)

Location: On-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States; ability to travel 25% globally.

Annual salary: $210,000–$275,000 USD for US-based candidates, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Define and execute the Intelligent Equipment vision, strategy, and innovation roadmap across process control, automation, sensing, analytical technologies, and predictive maintenance.
• Translate market and customer insight into innovation initiatives, tactical roadmaps, differentiated bioprocess solutions, and commercial impact.
• Lead complex cross-functional innovation programs and portfolios, aligning priorities, resources, budgets, milestones, governance, and risk management.
• Identify capability gaps and develop partnerships, organizational investments, and initiatives that strengthen long-term growth and competitive advantage.
• Influence global matrix teams across R&D, Product Management, Digital Technologies, Commercial, Manufacturing, and Business Units.
• Build internal and external relationships, develop talent, improve execution discipline, and deliver performance targets through the hirify.global Business System.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Analytical Sciences, Biophysics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of leadership experience in biotechnology, life sciences, industrial automation, digital technologies, or related industries.
• Significant experience leading innovation, transformation, or technology portfolios.
• Expertise in bioprocess analytical development and QA/QC, with an understanding of how analytical insights drive customer outcomes and product innovation.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies, software-enabled products, data management, connected systems, advanced analytics, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, align stakeholders, build partnerships, and deliver measurable business impact across organizational boundaries.

• MBA.
• PMP certification, consulting experience, or equivalent program leadership experience.
