What you will do

• Survey land and construction sites for heavy civil and industrial projects.
• Prepare worksheets, plans, and boundary descriptions.
• Provide consultation on land development projects.
• Read blueprints, maps, and project documents.
• Communicate with clients, staff, supervisors, and construction crews.
• Maintain surveying equipment, tools, housekeeping, and jobsite safety.

Requirements

• Prior experience with heavy construction staking, topographic surveying, GPS, and conventional surveying methods.
• Proficiency with GPS, total stations, tape measures, and other surveying equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, maps, and surveying or project documents.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• Proficient mathematical and computer skills, including AutoCAD.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, and weekends when required, and tolerate changing outdoor jobsite conditions.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in surveying or civil engineering.
• Certified survey technician designation.
