Location: Mason City, Iowa, United States. Candidates must reside in Mason City, IA; relocation candidates may indicate their willingness to relocate. The role involves travel, overnight stays, and outdoor fieldwork.
Base compensation: $26–$36 per hour, based on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Complete field surveys for projects of varying size and complexity.
- Perform data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation.
- Prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and other survey documents.
- Write and interpret easement descriptions and conduct courthouse research to gather property information.
- Travel for projects, team meetings, and overnight out-of-town assignments.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting ’s Driving Program requirements are required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and communicate effectively while working independently.
- Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain, carry up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors for 8–12 hours in varying temperatures.
- Ability to travel as needed for projects and overnight stays.
Nice to have
- Two years of field or office surveying experience.
- Experience with boundary, land, and topographic surveys, construction staking, Total Stations, and GPS.
- Experience with drafting, computations, plans, and easement descriptions.
- Field experience with Trimble survey equipment and working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office.
