Project Surveyor II - MW Regional (Civil 3D)

Location: Columbus, OH, United States; hybrid workplace with approximately 80–90% office and 10–20% field work

What you will do

• Prepare and coordinate survey drawings, legal descriptions, calculations, research, exhibits, and other project deliverables.
• Perform or direct surveying tasks across preliminary surveys, boundary verification, construction staking, and related calculations.
• Act as an office-based technical lead across multiple projects while supporting targeted field activities.
• Provide technical advice, review drawings, create redline mark-ups, and resolve client surveying and project issues.
• Plan schedules, coordinate workloads, attend client meetings, and support proposals and project completion.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members; establish team composition, balance workloads, and review timesheets.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field with at least 8 years of related experience and/or training; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with at least 10 years of related experience and/or training.
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic knowledge of TBC and Access.
• Computer skills for daily timesheet entry and Microsoft Outlook email correspondence.
• Ability to coordinate technical project work, meet deadlines, and collaborate with clients, management, and other departments.

Nice to have

• NSPS CST Level 4 certification.
• Professional Surveyor (PS) licensure.
