Survey Coordinator (Land Surveying)

Location: Westwood, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid schedule with at least three days in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays; must be able to work up to five days in the office when required. Travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire may be required.

Annual salary: $97,110–$107,900, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate land survey work performed by internal employees, field crews, and external vendors.
• Prepare RFPs, support vendor selection from the approved vendor list, and monitor work scope and schedules.
• Review and approve vendor deliverables and invoices while maintaining required documentation.
• Provide technical direction and training on utility-specific survey work.
• Coordinate survey requests, resources, project status, and communication with internal and external customers.
• Perform calculations, research, field investigations, boundary and right-of-way work, and limited real estate functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent combined education and experience.
• Three or more years of progressive field and office experience in land surveying.
• Knowledge of land surveying principles, boundary surveying, mapping, civil engineering terminology, construction methods, property law, and applicable state regulations.
• AutoCAD experience is required; experience with Civil 3D is preferred.
• Experience with Total Stations, data collectors, GPS equipment, and related software.
• Valid driver’s license required; must be able to perform outdoor field work, carry up to 50 pounds, work in varied weather, and respond to emergency restoration assignments.

Nice to have

• Licensed Land Surveyor certification.
• Experience with Civil 3D.
