Land Surveyor

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota; candidates must reside in the St. Paul area. The role involves fieldwork, travel, overnight stays, and outdoor work for 8–12 hours in varying weather conditions. Employees must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Employees must hold a valid driver's license and meet driving-record requirements. Hiring is currently unavailable for residents of Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Puerto Rico.

Base compensation: $72,000–$100,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Assist with field surveys for boundary, topographic, and construction projects.
• Support data reduction, digital terrain modeling, and surface creation.
• Prepare right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, boundary surveys, and related documents.
• Assist with drafting and survey computations.
• Collaborate with project teams while working independently in the field.
• Travel to project sites, meetings, and overnight assignments as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work overtime when project schedules require.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to walk and climb over rough terrain, carry up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to travel for projects, meetings, and overnight stays.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting the organization's driving-program requirements.
• U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with boundary, land, and topographic surveys.
• Experience with construction staking using Total Stations and GPS.
• Experience with drafting, survey computations, plan interpretation, and easement descriptions.
• Field experience with Trimble survey equipment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office.
