Manufacturing Engineer II (Injection Molding)

What you will do

• Oversee and improve production processes for injection-molded components and system assemblies.
• Redesign and modify components and systems to improve long-term manufacturing reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve customer complaints requiring engineering support.
• Provide engineering leadership on product quality issues in manufacturing.
• Coordinate with tooling, automation, and manufacturing engineering teams to support production-scale manufacturing.
• Create and maintain BOMs, engineering masters, inspection procedures, work instructions, tests, fixtures, and controlled ISO documentation.

Requirements

• Undergraduate engineering degree required, preferably in plastics or mechanical engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in production support or product design, primarily involving injection-molded parts and assemblies.
• Fluency in 3D modeling of parts and assemblies.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving sitting, standing, and reaching, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%.

• Knowledge of injection molding processes and tool design for manufacturability.
