Supervisor, Production (2nd Shift) (Manufacturing)

Location: Norwich, Connecticut, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Oversee second-shift production activities, assign work, and coordinate daily operations for Production Associates.
• Lead shift meetings covering safety, security, performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Manage production orders in SAP, coordinate priority jobs with Production Planning, and propose schedule adjustments.
• Improve on-time delivery, scrap rates, production rates, productivity, safety, and quality through continuous improvement projects.
• Participate in root-cause investigations and coordinate resolution of safety, quality, equipment, and process issues.
• Train, supervise, coach, evaluate, interview, and hire production employees as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3 or more years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Knowledge of injection molding, automated assembly equipment, and manual product assembly.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, solve problems proactively, communicate clearly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and some mechanical capability required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English for the position and workplace safety is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing or an ISO-certified company.
• College degree.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
