Production Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Coldwater, Michigan, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Coordinate production activities to meet quality, safety, and production targets.
• Train and mentor operators, welders, and machine operators on procedures and equipment.
• Monitor workflow, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and optimize labor and material use.
• Verify production reports, job travelers, work instructions, prints, and quality-control requirements.
• Support setup, operation, and maintenance of fabrication and machining equipment.
• Promote safe operations and enforce PPE, lockout/tagout, and material-handling procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in steel fabrication or metal manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication, laser cutting, punching, forming, brake presses, welding, finishing, and CNC machining.
• Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, setup sheets, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with precision measurement tools, inspection processes, tooling, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Trade school certification or bachelor’s degree.
• 1+ years of leadership or lead-person experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
