Production Group Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Zeeland, Michigan, United States; onsite, 1st shift

What you will do

• Lead and develop production work teams responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement.
• Manage direct reports, including time tracking, recordkeeping, training, development, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Plan production to meet customer demand and ensure quality standards and customer requirements are achieved.
• Coach lean manufacturing practices, including 5S and the identification of the eight forms of waste.
• Support equipment and process development, manufacturing readiness, and optimization of workstations.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional corrective-action teams using root-cause methods such as 5 Whys and 8D, while monitoring departmental KPIs.

Requirements

• Two- to four-year degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, build teams, mentor and coach employees, and manage employee relations.
• Ability to comply with company policies and safety regulations and maintain confidentiality.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment authorization is verified through E-Verify.
