Production Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Chillicothe, Missouri, USA; onsite night-shift work

Salary: $21.85 per hour plus a $1.00 hourly shift differential and monthly incentive payments after the 90-day probationary period.

What you will do

• Set up and operate wire drawing machines, including installing dies, threading wire, applying lubricant, and starting production runs.
• Inspect and measure drawn wire using micrometers, gauges, and other instruments to verify size, shape, resistance, and tolerances.
• Perform tensile, torsion, temperature, speed, and other production tests, and record the results.
• Replace worn dies, repair wire breaks, perform minor maintenance, and report safety or equipment issues requiring corrective action.
• Handle coils, spools, pallets, and shipment materials; operate and inspect forklifts safely when required.
• Maintain housekeeping, complete safety inspections, package finished products, and communicate operating information during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated basic literacy and math proficiency.
• Fluent English required.
• Basic computer skills, mathematical ability, and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to learn and use micrometers, tape measures, feeler gauges, and hand tools.
• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for 10–12-hour shifts, lift and move up to 50 pounds, and work in temperatures from 40 to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction, be at least 18 years old, and pass required post-offer screening.

Nice to have

• One to two years of manufacturing experience.
• Eligibility for forklift operator certification.
• Eligibility for certified welder certification.
