Systems Integrator (Packaging Automation Systems)

Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada; primarily office-based with the option to work from home up to three days per week. Approximately 30–40% travel to customer manufacturing facilities in the United States and occasional international travel; cross-border travel eligibility is required.

Salary: $70K–$90K per year.

What you will do

• Audit PLC and HMI code to extract and analyze relevant production data.
• Establish, validate, and troubleshoot device communications through OPC.
• Integrate and commission the ZPI software suite at customer facilities.
• Provide technical support for ZPI software, OPC configuration, and related systems during and after installation.
• Coordinate customer calls, review project status, answer installation questions, and guide end users on software usage and results interpretation.
• Collect data points through various interfaces and maintain detailed project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or three-year college diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electrical Controls, or a related field.
• Professional experience in industrial automation, systems integration, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, including Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, and other platforms.
• Knowledge of OPC DA and OPC UA, including setup and use of Kepware, Ignition, or other OPC servers.
• Experience with manufacturing intelligence systems such as OEE, MES, or LEDS, preferably in a packaging or food and beverage facility.
• A full driver’s license and the ability to meet cross-border travel requirements are required.
