Warehouse Process & Automation Engineer (Aerospace): Developing and optimizing warehouse workflows and automation for an electronics manufacturing facility with an accent on material flow, ERP/MES integration, and traceability. Location: Onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Salary: CAD 82,100–109,500 annually, plus bonus opportunity

Manufactures rugged, high-mix, small-batch electronics products for military requirements at an Ottawa manufacturing and design facility.
What you will do
- Develop and optimize receiving, kitting, staging, shipping, replenishment, supermarket, and line-side delivery workflows.
- Implement and support warehouse automation, including pick-to-light, RFID, barcode automation, autonomous mobile robots, conveyors, scanners, and vertical lift modules.
- Analyze cycle time, throughput, and bottlenecks between warehouse operations and production lines, then implement corrective actions.
- Integrate warehouse processes with SAP ERP and MES systems to maintain accurate BOM consumption, transaction flow, and serial-number traceability.
- Lead Kaizen, 5S, waste elimination, standard work, and other continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Partner with production, planning, quality, and IT to resolve systemic operational issues and support quality and compliance controls.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering.
- 6–10+ years of experience with warehouse automation, material-handling equipment, or electronics manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of material flow, warehouse systems, ERP, and MES.
- Hands-on experience with automation systems such as AMRs, conveyors, scanners, and VLMs.
- Knowledge of Lean, PFEP, Kanban, warehouse optimization, ESD compliance, and warehouse quality controls.
- Ability to lead technical projects and deliver measurable improvements.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA warehouse modules.
