Senior Director, Operational Technology Practice Lead (Operational Technology)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States

Salary: USD 200,000–280,000 per year, plus potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead revenue generation, client relationships, portfolio account management, sales, and business development for Operational Technology services.
• Own financial and business accountability across projects, accounts, and regional portfolios.
• Develop and execute the Operational Technology practice strategy, staffing plan, offerings, sales collateral, and marketing initiatives.
• Oversee proposals, RFP responses, delivery methodologies, contract management, cost management, project management, and quality assurance.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships and alliances with software companies and solution providers.
• Coach and mentor senior consulting resources and represent the practice at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 15+ years of experience in technical organizations, including significant leadership or management experience.
• Experience with strategic planning, business alignment, financial accountability, budget management, and large-scale technical projects and programs.
• Strong technical, leadership, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, business development, and practice strategy initiatives while building a practice in the utilities sector.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering utility technology solutions such as ADMS, EMS, SCADA, AMI, or OMS.
• Cloud technologies and microservice-based architectures experience.
• Power distribution or distribution network experience.
• PMP certification.
