Location: US Remote; preferred locations include Atlanta, GA, Reston, VA, and Concord, CA.
Salary: $144,381β$245,448 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do
- Lead energy efficiency, electrification, distributed energy resources, and decarbonization potential studies for US and Canadian utilities and government agencies.
- Develop DER dispatch strategies, adoption curves, program designs, and achievable potential models.
- Conduct market research and advanced energy-saving calculations and economic analyses for residential and commercial sectors.
- Evaluate and benchmark program performance while managing and analyzing large datasets with advanced Excel functions.
- Support business development, proposal writing, regulatory activities, and public stakeholder processes.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, white papers, journal articles, and other client deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering or a related field, with interest or experience in sustainability, building energy efficiency, building science, or renewables.
- 8+ years of related energy industry experience or an academic equivalent.
- Experience in energy consulting, energy management, DSM studies, regulatory support, program design, or program implementation.
- Demonstrated project and resource management experience.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience managing and leading a team of at least two direct reports.
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in electrical engineering, building science, energy policy, or a related field.
- Knowledge of DER adoption curves, Bass Diffusion curves, benchmarking, and calibration.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, NPV, IRR, utility cost-effectiveness tests, energy policy, and DSM regulation.
- Experience with renewables, US and Canadian energy codes, energy storage, CHP, OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, or energy-saving calculation methods.
- Business development experience and established client relationships.
