Specialist - SCADA (Houston, TX)

What you will do

• Support and administer real-time SCADA systems for natural gas and products pipelines.
• Configure, design, and develop SCADA applications, HMI graphics, reports, and measurement applications.
• Implement SCADA projects for new or modified facilities in line with established standards.
• Develop data interfaces between business applications and SCADA systems.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, Operations, IT Infrastructure, and Telecommunications teams.
• Provide hardware, software, database, network, troubleshooting, and technical documentation support.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting SCADA, automation, or real-time systems.
• Experience with a current SCADA platform such as GeoSCADA or Ignition.
• Programming or scripting experience with PowerShell, JavaScript, or Python, plus familiarity with the .NET library.
• Experience with SQL databases, stored procedures, object-oriented methodologies, and IT, SCADA, or telecommunications standards.
• Excellent English-language skills, strong communication, troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and documentation abilities.

Nice to have

• SCADA or automation experience in pipeline or liquid terminal industries.
• Understanding of PLC logic and function.
• Networking experience within a telecommunications department.
