SCADA Engineer

Location: De Soto, Kansas, United States; onsite. Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

hirify.global is expanding a lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility supporting sustainable energy and electric vehicle production.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain SCADA solutions and integration projects for the battery manufacturing facility.
• Build SCADA/HMI frameworks, process-monitoring screens, supervisory control functions, and automation features.
• Integrate PLCs, IIoT devices, networks, platforms, and applications for reliable data transfer and production control.
• Program databases, manage tags and historized data, customize SCADA software with scripts, and maintain infrastructure configurations.
• Install, commission, test, debug, and validate SCADA systems and network deployments.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and guide contracted developers and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience designing, programming, and commissioning SCADA systems in Ignition.
• Thorough knowledge of Ignition tags, alarm pipelines, gateway servers, transaction groups, UDTs, templates, data historization, and HMI design standards.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and strong knowledge of networking principles for SCADA and control systems.
• Experience programming, installing, and troubleshooting PLC systems; Mitsubishi or Omron experience is preferred.
• Working-level English proficiency and unrestricted U.S. work authorization are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or certifications such as ISA CAP, Inductive Automation Developer, CCNA, PMP, or PMI-ACP.
• Knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, Agile project management, DevOps, and high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing complex SCADA design and deployment projects or completing Inductive University training.
